Strengthening Security Communication: PARC MTT Course in Bosnia and Herzegovina

21.11.2025

From 17 to 21 November 2025, the Public Affairs Regional Centre (PARC) successfully conducted a Mobile Training Team (MTT) Public Affairs course in Sarajevo for the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina and affiliated agencies. The training was fully supported by NATO’s Defence Capacity Building Programme, reflecting a shared commitment to strengthening institutional communication capabilities.

The course provided participants with a comprehensive understanding of Public Affairs, including effective communication, developing key messages, and preparing news releases. It covered media engagement through TV statements and interview techniques from both the PAO and interviewee perspectives, along with social media management, analytics, and the use of social platforms during crises. Participants also explored exercises in social media strategy, campaign simulation, and countering disinformation, while learning to build institutional credibility and engage audiences effectively.

Thirteen participants actively applied their learning through lectures, hands-on exercises, and scenario-based simulations, receiving structured feedback from PARC instructors. The training strengthened communication capabilities, enhanced resilience against disinformation, and promoted regional cooperation, showcasing PARC’s role as a NATO-accredited centre dedicated to professional development in Public Affairs and supporting NATO partners.
