From 8 to 12 June 2026, the Public Affairs Regional Centre (PARC) of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of North Macedonia conducted a Public Affairs Course in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, as part of the NATO Defence Capacity Building (DCB) Programme. The activity aimed to support the development of professional communication capabilities within the security structures of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The course provided participants with essential knowledge and practical skills for performing Public Affairs tasks in a modern security environment. The programme addressed the principles of military Public Affairs, media engagement, communication planning, and the preparation and delivery of clear and effective messages to different audiences.
Through instructor-led sessions, discussions, and practical assignments, participants explored approaches to communicating with the media, responding to information requirements, and ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness in public communication. The practical elements of the course enabled participants to apply the concepts covered during the training and strengthen their confidence in carrying out Public Affairs responsibilities.
The training represents another step in PARC’s ongoing efforts to share its expertise in military Public Affairs and contribute to the professional development of partner nations. Through its engagement under the NATO DCB Programme, PARC continues to support regional cooperation and the strengthening of communication capabilities within Bosnia and Herzegovina’s security structures.
