In the period from 15 to 19 February 2016, the regional workshop Communication Skills and Media Training – Basic, was conducted in the Public Affairs Regional Centre.
The target group for this workshop were the Public Affairs Officers from the Armed Forces and the Ministries of Defence, as well as other state institutions. Eighteen participants from Ukraine, Croatia, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Macedonia attended the course.
The topics of the workshop included introduction to the Basic Communication Theory, Developing and Delivering Key Messages, Basic Principles of Public Affairs, Interview with a special focus on TV Interviews, Writing a News Release and Holding a News Conference as well as a lecture on Social and New Media.
Participants in the workshop were trained with the basic communication skills and techniques for dealing with the media in different formats of public appearance.
