"Very useful and practical workshop" - the general comment from the participants of the regional workshop "Communication Skills and Media Training - Basic", held in the period from 16-20 February 2015 in the Public Affairs Regional Centre in Skopje, Macedonia.
The participants had the opportunity to develop effective communication skills and receive basic media training. There were participants coming from the Republic of Croatia, Georgia, the Republic of Kosovo, the Republic of Moldova, the Republic of Romania and Ukraine, as well as from the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Macedonia, Macedonian Armed Forces and students from the Tetovo State University.
The training team included the certified regional media trainers - Major Vladimir Skarica, the Republic of Croatia, Major Remzie Zeqiraj, the Republic of Kosovo, Major Igor Stankovski, the Macedonian Armed Forces, Dushko Avromovski and Ivan Petrushevski, Macedonian Ministry of Defence, as well as Captain David Petrov, Bojan Atanasovski and Elena Trajanovska from the Public Affairs Regional Centre, Macedonian Ministry of Defence.
The principal methods employed during the activities in PARC are positive reinforcement and learning by doing, thus providing the participants with a chance to practice all necessary elements through the exercises based on realistic scenarios, and receive comprehensive feedback focusing on what the participants have achieved and what their improvement areas are.
Representatives from the non-governmental organization security policy program "Analytica" visited the workshop, whereas COL Volodymir Konyk, Ukrainan Defence Attache in the Republic of Macedonia attended the certification ceremony.
