The PTEC Marketplace unfolded on November 7 and 8, 2023, at NATO Headquarters, serving as an annual nexus for a network of training centers and institutions in both Allied and partner nations. This event facilitated the exchange of ideas, expertise, and innovative solutions within the realm of military education and training. Among the 24 represented centers was the Public Affairs Regional Centre (PARC).
During the inauguration, NATO Deputy Secretary General Mircea Geoană expressed gratitude to the PTECs for their dedication and outstanding contributions to the Alliance. He underscored the pivotal role of education and training as paramount tools for fostering stability and resilience. Mr. Geoană emphasized the increasing complexity of threats, highlighting the continued significance of PTECs in ensuring lasting impacts on both the security of partner nations and that of the Alliance.
Acknowledging the evolving landscape, the Deputy Secretary General commended PTECs for enhancing the interoperability of NATO partners and fortifying their preparedness to address crises. He noted a positive trend in the establishment of PTECs in partner countries, with a growing interest from additional nations to develop more PTECs in the future.
