The PARC (Public Affairs Regional Centre) recently deployed a Mobile Training Team (MTT) to Morocco to conduct a specialized Military Public Affairs (MIL PA) course for the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces. This initiative, which took place in Rabat from September 23 to 27, was an essential part of PARC's commitment to enhancing public affairs capabilities within partner military organizations and was conducted in close coordination and support with NATO SHAPE (Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe).
The one-week MILPA course, delivered by PARC's expert trainers, focused on building fundamental public affairs skills, including media training. The training aimed to equip 17 officers from the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces with the knowledge and practical skills needed to manage public affairs operations effectively and to strengthen their overall public affairs capability.
Course was designed to provide both theoretical knowledge and practical experience, allowing participants to engage in real-world scenarios and simulations. This approach ensured that the trainees could apply the concepts learned directly to their roles.
The MTT was composed of Public Affairs professionals from PARC, who brought years of experience in military communication and public affairs training. This ensured that the course content was relevant, up-to-date, and aligned with NATO standards.
Participants were actively involved in discussions, group exercises, and role-playing activities, fostering a dynamic learning environment. These interactive elements helped reinforce the importance of effective key messaging, media relations, and effective storytelling in a military context.
The Moroccan officers completed the course with impressive results, demonstrating their readiness to apply the skills and knowledge acquired during the training in their respective roles.
This successful collaboration underscores PARC's role as a key provider of Public Affairs training within the NATO framework, contributing to the development of capable and confident public affairs professionals in allied and partner countries.
